Everybody travels by bus to each location; some of the locations include lunch; some, you're on your own.
You DO have to be a member of the National Carousel Association in order to take part in the convention. I'm not certain that you have to stay at the hotel, but you'd have to be on time to the lobby, or else you'll miss the bus.
There is, it says here, a banquet on Saturday night -- at the hotel, I'm assuming -- and evening roundtables on Thursday, September 13 and Friday, September 14).
Cost for the convention only (without the pre-convention warm-up tour of four carousels) is $295. Con-with-pre-con-warm-up is $375. Hotel room, is, naturally, extra. T-shirt costs $15.00. National Carousel Association Annual Membership is $50.
