Whole New World, Part Seven

So, we talked to the radiologist, who recommends going straight to radiation and zapping those lymph nodes into the next universe.

So, that's The Plan, pending the results of the oncotyping, which I should have on the 21st.  If the oncotype is high, then chemo takes precedence.  If the oncotype is low, then I will be given aromatase inhibitors and can start radiation therapy in May, 5 days a week for 5 week.

I am -- not in a good place about this, even though I know it has to be done.

I also note that we're still in Hurry Up and Wait Mode.

And that's All The News.

Wishing you well. Hoping you can avoid chemo. Radiation isn't nearly as bad, mainly just a hassle--at least in my experience.

I wish you strength and support during your treatment, and always. My husband took his own cancer journey last year and is mostly recovered now, but it sucked mightily. (He had chemo and radiation and surgery.) My very best wishes to you for the best possible outcome.

I lost a friend to Stage IV breast cancer this past year. Do whatever it takes. You do not want to futz around with this awful beast. Jump on it early, hard, and repeatedly.
