Writer's Days Off

So, yesterday, I did some catch-up office work here at the Cat Farm and Confusion Factory. I! drove! to! the! Post! Office! Ghod, there is a whole world out there. Who knew?

In the evening, while Steve went to chess, I vegged on the couch and watched the first disk of Princess Tutu. Yes, I caved and bought the boxed set. It was interesting watching the beginning of the story unfold with foreknowledge this time, and I was right -- I will want this on hand to watch over again.

Today, Steve and I took the car into the shop for the annual inspection (Pass!), then we had breakfast at the Butcher's Choice, wandered down to Marden's so I could reacquaint myself with, like, stores and aisles of things nobody really wants even though they buy them anyway. We had a chance meeting with [livejournal.com profile] baggette and a good conversation, then home by way of the garage.

Spent the rest of the day doing office work, catching up on the emails generated by yesterday evening's InfoDump and updating various databases in and around doing the laundry.

We now have less than 500 Saltation subscriptions to fill. Just so you know.

...broke for broccoli soup and half-a-sandwich with Steve before he left for the Library Trustees Meeting. I've got me some dishes to do, then I need to dig up the Ace editions of Local Custom and Scout's Progress, so I can start ramping up for that sequel we're gonna write.

Tomorrow's a work day. Oh, well...
