Just to follow up on that comment a little - that's how I was taught to type from copy.
Another piece of it is that I don't do a lot of back and forth from the copy to the screen. Mostly my eyes stay on the copy/input not the product.
If I do try to think about it I'm like the caterpillar who started trying to think about how he walked.
