Although catching vermin may be no problem, it is a question of dispatch. I have an old house and an occasional mouse which is immediately caught by Romy. Unfortunately after parading around the house with said mouse she brings it as a present to me. Usually in bed at night with a "look what I caught you" flourish. Cleaning up "prey parts" in the morning is one thing. Having to deal with live mouse in the middle of the night is an altogether different one.
