In celebration, have a nice, long snippet:

He glanced again to Daav. "I hope the wine was acceptable?"

It was, Aelliana realized with a start, a bi-level question. She had not thought that such complexities were possible in Terran! In the flush of discovery, she almost missed Daav's reply.

"Half the pilots on port have already bought Aelliana wine. I'm only amazed to find you among the half yet to do so." His tone was light, now, as if he wished to set the other pilot at ease.

"Not any more," Clarence pointed out with a smile that perhaps betrayed relief.

60K Celebration!!!!

Keep those words a'rolling, wild author? Yeah, here comes old Daav, he come rolling out slowly, he got juju eyeballs...

It must be oldies but goldies time on the early morning brain here in Japan.

60K! We're on our way... with Clarence? I'm not sure we've been introduced...but I look forward to it.

You know, this book would not have been my first choice, much as I love Aelliana and Daav. I thought that the knowledge of what was coming might interfere with enjoying the book's "now". But these snippets are serving to whet the appetite most excellently, and I am greatly looking forward to this one now.

Clarence? Who is Clarence? I see I am going to have to re-read all the chapbooks with Daav to find this Clarence.
All these snippets have me counting the days for the release date to be announced!

Interestingly, clicking on the hyperlink for 'Going to do dishes now' takes me to a remote corner of Cameroon in Africa courtesy of Google Maps. Expect the unexpected in this journal!
