How was the Mirror Prince, I have had a few by that author come in and have not had the chance to read any of them yet

Was wondering if they are worth a shot

How was the Mirror Prince,

I liked it. Mind you, I figured out the Surprise Twist 'way early, but I can't tell if that's because I Do This Professionally or because it was telegraphed too well. It is worth a read; the world was well-built and I liked the two leads quite a bit.

I'm reading The Sleeping God by the same author now, and I'm starting to get a little irritated, without knowing precisely why. I'll give it another 50 pages to see if I can figure it out, or if it stops being irritating. . .

Figured it out. The male lead is a little too ineffectual. He and his Brother are obviously a committed team -- it's been said several times with various riffs on the Bond Between Brothers and especially those who are Partnered -- but I can't figure out why his Brother puts up with him. There's no. . .electricity between them. Even Old Married Folks have some zap. Still, I'll give it that 50 pages more.
