I really enjoyed reading about your thought processes; I had wondered whilst reading Fledgling what prompted the creation of Delgado. I thought it might have been a reaction against the nanny state in which many of us live, where we are virtually immobilised by over-the-top rules and regulations designed to keep us from harm (and from ever growing up).
