In Wisconsin: snow drops bloomed a month ago crocuses bloomed 2 weeks ago and are gone (4 weeks early) Daffodils have been blooming for a week (4-5 weeks early) Crab apples (both white & pink) blooming (6 weeks early) Forsythia blooming slightly early dogwood blooming 3 weeks early Magnolia blooming 4-6 weeks early tulips just leaves so far Maple & elm trees blooming (death by pollen attack to follow shortly)
Our warmest March on record. We've been in the 80's for the past 10 days (everyone a record-breaker). Our low temps are higher then the normal average highs.
We have tons of birds back ahead of schedule (because the ice was gone from lakes & rivers early). Yesterday we were warmer then LA, Las Vegas and many Florida cities. People have been wearing shorts and tank tops and sandals for 2 weekends. Patio seating has been open at restaurants for 2 weeks (usually happens in late May).
