I also have a Samsung - Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 - and am reasonably happy with it. I haven't finished figuring out the file-moving-around part of it, but it works well for the most part. I use it most for e-reading, for email while on the road (via wifi only), and for music.

For e-reading I use the Nook app, occasionally the Kindle app, and two epub readers. I use two epub readers because I like the one I started using first, and then I discovered that to check out e-books from my library I had to have a different one. The epub readers are handy not only for books downloaded from Baen, but for fanfic from Archive of Our Own.

I'm using the music player that came built into it. I use it mainly for songs that I download from my chorus website to practice with, so am not sure how it would work with commercial music.
