And wandering the internets as I do, I'd like to add a note about not dropping the granite pavers on people who do write/tell Their Stories, which happen to be different than Your Story. I'm beginning to suspect that we need to agree to celebrate a certain "je ne sais quoi," where we choose to buy-in to a wide variety of stories. Isn't that kind of the point of speculative fiction?
