Skin of my teeth
I am not a big fan of dentists -- the usual reasons; bad childhood experiences, reinforced by bad experiences as an adult. However, spurred on by
kinzel's example, I made a much-needed appointment for a dental evaluation. I asked for valium, which the office was glad to prescribe, and I took it, too. Go, me.
The good news is that the situation with my teeth is not as dire as I had feared, though we may be looking at getting rid of one back tooth which is about seventy-five percent filling and which may be the cause in and of itself of the various discomforts. More will be known when the x-rays have been viewed and the various measurements and information gathered today are assimilated.
The mixture of valium and a sleepless night have not made for bright story-telling alas. I'm about to throw in the towel for the night and try again tomorrow.
Oh, and it snowed today. It's now changed to rain, and I see flood warnings on the weather page. Ah, well. We live on the high ground...
