Pickleball has taken retirement communities by storm. In Green Valley (is that where your relatives are?) it's so prevalent that the golf courses are going under. Golf has become the hobby of the very old. The young old are playing pickleball.
Maybe because it's really Calvinball, and quidditch is a little too strenuous, not to mention the difficulty of getting a good flying broom?
