Love the backstory! Tolly's gotten to be a favorite with me. Of course, now we have another loose thread hanging out there - what happened to Disian :)

Oh - and I'm amazed that I recognized Tolly's number right away.

Loved the back story. Do we have an approximate time frame for this backstory. Was this his most recent escape from the Lyre or just one on many - we have hints that it has been many. Think he needs to see the Uncle or perhaps the tree. I think those are the only two entities we know about that might be able to remove his off switch. Didn't we get hints that the Uncle did something of the sort for Cantra before she met Jela though I don't think that back story has been fully told... (hint) (hope).

No timeframe; I'm not even entirely sure how old Tolly is. He seems to have had many, many adventures.

I'd have to go back and reread, before I ventured a guess of how the Uncle managed to preserve Cantra from the line edit...Too many words through the fingers, since....
