Take Five
As much as we played it in vinyl, you'd've thought we'd made sure we had plenty of Dave Brubeck in CD after the last turntable bit the dust, mumble years ago. Ah, well, today we at last began to rectify the oversight. From this you may surmise that we went to Portland.
Other notable loot includes
matociquala's Hammered, Warprize by Elizabeth Vaughan; and the first Fruits Basket book. I figured if I had a plot I already knew it would be easier to learn how to read manga. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.
Lunch was at Vinny T's -- chicken breasts in chunky tomato sauce, and cheese manicotti -- which was to die for. We heroically forwent the offered tiramisu in favor of wending on home for ice cream and cake.
It's a beautiful, blue, breezy day, in the comfortable mid-70sF/21-ishC, second of a series, and may we have many more just like it.
I note that the LJ spellchecker has never heard of manicotti. *shakes head* Barbarians...

Oh, I am so envious. I checked with my parents this AM--they were expecting 95F today. It's going to push 90 for the week we're in Pentwater (so could be 85 at the lake!) and be closer to 80 the weekend (nee 75 on the lake?)
I fear 95 and no wind, indeed I do...
