I have finished reading Hammered and now need to acquire Scardown. Presently reading, in between bursts of throwing things away, Warprize by Elizabeth Vaughan.

The cut-back on the meds appears to be working for Max! already. He begged and yelled for dark chocolate, which -- sorry, nuh-uh -- is Not a Cat Treat in this house. Fortunately, I was able to fob him off with a fish-shaped cat yum.

The trip-tiks arrived from AAA, so we have the Trail to Atlanta marked clear before us. Guess I better see if my con jeans still fit me sometime soon...

Forgive my ignorance, never having been to an SF con, but what are "con jeans", and how do they differ from ordinary jeans?

"Con clothes" -- at least for SF/F cons -- tend to be more flamboyant than the clothes one wears every day. Some people wear outrageous ties. Some people wear leather mini skirts with white ankle socks. Some people wear fancy shirts. Not all con attendees do this; some just wear office clothes, or casual. Since my "office" clothes are t-shirts and jeans (summer) and flannel shirts and jeans (winter), and since that's what I'm most comfortable wearing, my con clothes tend to be dressier jeans and fancy shirts, with maybe a leather vest or swoopy jacket.
