My friend and I were there! At PenguiCon! - where history was being made. Wow! We didn't go to the actual tea, though. I'm not sure we knew about it before we got there. It was our first and only PenguiCon. We'd gone especially to see you and Steve. I'd picked up a copy of Scout's Progress at a B&N a year or so previously and fell in love with Liad. So did my friend. We'd been to a few comicons in Novi MI before then, but when we saw you were going to be at PenguiCon - well, no contest! We were there on Saturday and caught the World Building panel (one of the participants was knitting during it; I remember being very impressed they could concentrate on both things at once) and your Collaboration panel - which we loved. You and Steve were gracious enough to autograph my copy of Scout's Progress and listen to my babbling about how much I loved it. Then you were on the way to the tea and my friend and I hit the dealers to pick up some Liaden chapbooks. (Also picked up The Tomorrow Log, which I still think deserves more love from readers.) To think we were thisclose to the first Stuffed Animal Tea and didn't get pics. Ah, it was still a marvelous day.
