I believe you should be able to order more checks as a continuation of your current order. Why would they care? It's not as if you're defrauding anyone. (Reminds self I too need to order more checks, and more importantly more check registers! It takes me months sometimes to go through a book of checks these days, but I zip through registers every couple of months. Twenty years ago, who'd'a thunkit?
