The coffee's brewing. This is a Good Thing.

Practicing getting up early -- also a Good Thing, which should pay off in just over a week. And, no, I am not going back to bed.

She said determinedly.

Outside, the sky is dotted with stars. [livejournal.com profile] kinzel informed me that Mars is still up. He has since departed, having made a major concession to the coolness of the morning and activated Argent's heated seats.

On the novel front, the hero has at last deigned to stroll into the diner, nod at a couple of acquaintances, call for coffee, and commence in to needling the heroine. Honestly. Give a character a lobster boat and they're never on time...

Off Thread, but not OT:

;)

I would just like to offer you a bitter thank you...I just reread all my Lee and Miller (including the hardship of reading Crystal Dragon on computer, specifically rereading the chapbooks as I was behindtimes on ordering LUC, and having finally received LUC (which I read, of course, since, well, new Lee and Miller ink-and-paper), immediately had to rereread Aelliana's thread and Balance of Trade. Argh. I had things to do! All your fault! Certainly it isn't my weakness when faced with literary crack.

Today will start with attempted bribery of an officer of Armada del Ecuador, move onto a quest for Sword of Orion at local chain and independents, and stop for a lunch of Curry Beef over Rice in Chinatown before returning home for the possibility of productivity...or at least laundry and taking out the garbage and recycling.

Well, the Captain was from ship, but our midshipman promised to take my "gift" to him. That we got to see pretty much the whole ship short of the bilges probably didn't have anything to do with it.

;) and all. The bottle was prompted by the bar display in the Officers Mess as much as anything, memento of SF and all that sentimental stuff.
