Patia has been to the vet and has achieved Eyedrops. Three times a day for the next seven days. This is going to be a hoot. Not.
On a second, solo trip into town (Patia does not do shopping), I stopped by the garage and had the lugs retightened (aluminum wheels) in celebration of 25 miles on the new tires, went to the drug store and picked up my meds (and not the meds of the Other Sharon Lee, for which we are both grateful), then motored on back home, where I've spent the last while doing email and futzing around with Live Journal. Another day, I'll have a whack at embedding Eagles into Bloo KangaRue. Today...
It's raining. Be amazed.
I've got some house-type chores to tend to, then back with the story, which is suddenly wanting to get written at a pace somewhat faster than 300 feel-as-you-go words at a sitting. This would, I point out to the Story Ghods, be much easier if the viewpoint character were a Little More Forthcoming, or if her situation weren't so ...weird. The Story Ghods laugh.
And, I forgot to say -- decided to forgo shifting to the Really Alien POV and went for a viewpoint flashback instead. I think this will not only work better than head-hoping, but will bring the story in under novella length, which I, for one, would admire.
