The day was too pretty to waste, so we went for a teensy drive after venturing to Home Depot to return a nightlight that didn't work. The teensy drive took us out to Weld, across to Philips, Fairbanks and down through Farmington, Norridgewock and Skowhegan, and thus to home. As it turned out, it was a good thing that we'd played hookey, since the local contractor DEP hired to relocate their testing shed was here much of the day, doing just that. (Yep, it's Sunday, but, hey, it's a freelance job for the local guy and if he can bill them in September, he'll get his check in October.)
