Frost last night, which nipped the hopeful late roses in the bud. Ah, well. It was a mad, foolish plan to put buds out this late.
Woke up last night distressed and short of breath; proximate cause appearing to be that my dream-brain hadn't been able to remember something Very Important -- aka the name of the road where the horses were that I used to walk down when we lived in Owings Mills. Waking-brain couldn't remember the name of the dern road, either (it's only been -- what? -- seventeen years?), and it took some time to get my breathing straightened out, and go back to sleep.
So, this afternoon, as we were heading off to the grocery store, I mention the dream and the distress to![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
kinzel -- and bless me if the stupid distress cycle didn't start up all over again. Made for an ...interesting... shopping experience. Adrenaline surges are exhausting beasts, so after we got home and put the cold stuff away, I wimped out and took a nap. This was the Right Thing to do.
There's something odd going on with Mozart's back foot, which needs to be looked at. After that, a light supper, and the next chapter of ...Lonesome October.
