APRIL UPDATE

CALAMITY'S CHILD OFF To PRINTER
The Lee and Miller Chapbook Calamity's Child, due out at Penguicon 4.0, has shipped electronically to the printer. It appears likely that we'll be shipping the bulk of the pre-ordered _Calamity's Child_ on return from the convention as our printer is in the middle of his busiest season. If you haven't yet pre-ordered you can do so at the SRM Publisher online catalog
until the books are printed.

the rest is behind the cut )

Much time was spent on the road this day. First, to the post office, where some things were posted and others received, then to the bank to deposit what had been received, and home, to take Calamity's Child and several other chapbooks in hand and rush them down to the print shop in Augusta, where there was an honest-to-ghod traffic jam going on, making it necessary for me to wait whole minutes to make my turn. Boy, am I glad I don't live down there in the city...

Beside the traffic jam, the other notable driving events were:

The horse that had gotten out of its paddock and was charging back and forth across Route 201 in Vassalboro, eluding the two people who were trying to guide him out of harm's way.

Many male turkeys at various locations strutting their stuff. Equal number of female turkeys, largely bored with aforesaid stuff.

At home, I signed off of all but one of my email lists, thereby making life much more peaceful, did a few chores while [livejournal.com profile] kinzel heroically hacked away at the order monster belowstairs; and a small bout of writing.

In about an hour, Dulsey needs to go into the puppy crate, with neither food nor water, so that she may approach tomorrow's big event pure in body and spirit. Or at least hungry.
