AKICIF: Shoe Laces
Friday, September 8th, 2006 09:00 amDespite having sworn a Solemn Oath that my next pair of shoes would, by ghod, be slip-ons or have Velcro(tm) fastenings, I have committed another pair of lace-ups (what can I say? This pair of Rockports have finally given up the ghost after four years and thousands of miles; the next pair should do as well).
Now, I have a particular Gift with regard to shoe laces: I can't keep the damn' things tied. But. Someone, somewhere mentioned in my hearing that there are "sticky" sport laces, which very rarely come spontaneously untied.
Anybody know anything about such an item? Pointers to places where I can lay hands on them?

Excuse me, but don't you have a story to write?
Friday, September 8th, 2006 02:21 pmThe new!improved! SRM Publisher Fall Catalog has been laid (lain?) out, despite putting up a good fight. Hopefully, I've gotten everything right and remembered to list all the books on the order form this time. We'll see what
kinzel has to say when he gets home.
In the meantime, I have been pro-active and tied a hiker's knot in my shoe laces. So far, so good, and thanks to everyone who answered. All Knowledge IS Contained In Fandom *g*
The washing machine repairguy has been and gone. Epic amounts of laundry stand ready to be washed, and who am I to disappoint it? *sigh*
The first scene for "There's a star in the east on Christmas morn" (Man is that a pain to type. Note to self: Short title) sucks very large rocks. The gloves are coming off; I'm jumping into a scene further in and moving from there. Beginnings are overrated, anyway...
