There were years that I couldn't wait to see the back of. 2006 is not one of those years.
There were years that I never wanted to end. 2006 didn't make it into the Top Ten there, either.
The best -- and worst -- that can be said about 2006 is that it was a nerve-wracking and unreasonably stressful year. Far too many balls needed to be kept in motion, with disaster in an all-too-literal sense awaiting one fumbled catch. I learned things that I would rather not have done, and I learned things that awed and humbled me. I didn't write nearly as much as I wanted to, but I'm pleased with those things I did write.
A survivable year, 2006. That's good.
