Thanks! And, writing Saturday
Saturday, May 9th, 2009 10:06 amThanks to everyone who looked for the Scout sigil. I just recently had to re-discover Lady yo'Lanna's first name, which I thought had been a similar case -- written and then excised -- but the backbrain eventually obliged me by remembering that this information was in "Choice of Weapons." The lack of any similar obliging memory or surrounding details makes me believe that the Scout sigil never got into canon. Which is Information.
I spent the early morning (before breaking to share Steve's eggselent tomato omelette, accompanied by toasted English muffins and the Big Mugs of coffee) detailing the remaining Big Story Blocks, coincidentally finding that "other thing of similar shape-and-size" that I was looking for last night. I'm really pleased with the replacement bit, which just goes to show you that sleep is under-rated as an Aid to Creativity.
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Sometime soon, I'll get to take a drive down to Belfast again, walk around in the sunshine and window-shop. Today, however, is not that day. Only 52 days until Mouse and Dragon needs to be handed in. Mild panic. No, really: mild panic. I can do this, and hand in a Damn Fine Book. yeah, sure I can.
In the meantime, if you have any Good Energy Vibes to spare, please send them to Steve, who's staring down the gun. The final draft of Saltation is due on Friday.
I'm going in.
