Just to clarify -- Miss Melville... isn't a Regency; it's a mystery set in New York City about an impoverished society lady who must turn to assassination to keep body and soul together.
An Assembly... is (the first third of) Pride and Prejudice told from Darcy's viewpoint.
I had tried to get into Girl Genius several times in the past, but the backstory just overwhelmed me; especially the prospect of reading it all on the computer. I decided to try a book though, and I'm glad I did.
