Webpage, with Strawberries

I am embarrassed to say that the Welcome to Liad page still informed the connected universe that the number of existing books was...seven, among other inaccuracies. Eh. Somebody oughta fire the webmaster.

Oh. Wait....

So, anyway, a quick-n-dirty update has been done. Number of books now correctly pegged at ten; title of the newest book brought up to the more-or-less present; list of appearances ditto; general tidying up done. Much better.

[livejournal.com profile] kinzel having thoughtfully provided strawberries, we had them for a snack (MMMMMMmmmmmmmmm), and now I have nothing to do but --

Write my pages.

Right.

I'm gone.

Wow, the hair is *much* shorter.

I like it--is it taking some getting used to?

Actually, it's a return to a previous state. I kept my hair as short as possible for years, then along back in '94 or so I decided to grow it long. I forget why. Maybe to prove that I could. Anyway, it was down to the middle of my back for a while, but that got tedious, so I brought it up to shoulder-length, where it stayed for a good while. Eventually, though, it got to be more of a pain and less of a pleasure and I couldn't keep it neat for the life of me, so it was time to go short again.

Loving it.

My next trick is to go color-free.

My next trick is to go color-free.

I went way too light for a year or so. You can't lighten my hair for beans without bringing out red/gold, and those tones do not work with the pink-toned skin. My cutter told me that I would probably have to back off to platinum to find a blonde that worked with my skin tone--a leetle too much maintenance for me, thanks. So I went back to medium/dark brown. My natural shade is a little too ashy and blah for me, so I'm playing within the range. Amazing how many different tones of brown there are.

My original color was dark-brown-almost-black. I started to dye it when it started to seriously go gray, and went with a sorta mahogany color, which worked oddly well. Releasing my Inner Redhead and all like that...
