Happy Anniversary, Val Con and Miri!

February 2008 marks the 20th anniversary of the publication of a quirky little space opera titled Agent of Change written by a pair of quirky authors named Steve Miller [livejournal.com profile] kinzel and Sharon Lee [livejournal.com profile] rolanni.

To celebrate this event, there will be a Liaden Universe® suite at Boskone and we look forward to seeing you -- yes, you! -- there to raise a cookie and toast the Clan.

Note: We're also looking for help running the suite, so if you're going to be going to Boskone and would like to help, please drop a note to Steve at srmATkorval.com.

We'd like to take the opportunity of this Auspicious Event to thank all of our readers and Friends of Liad for their interest, support, encouragement and friendship over the years and across the galaxy.

You guys rock.

Sharon and Steve

I was just thinking about how quickly Boskone is coming up.

My wife and I are excited to see you folks, and others. Our friend Seanan Maguire (cadhla) is the filk artist there.

See you there!

Boskone will be quite impossible, as I am in Europe, but I wish you and everybody who are able to come a nice day and a happy anniversary! (And I absolutely LOVE the userpic!)

We'll miss you, but thank you for the good wishes.

(And I absolutely LOVE the userpic!)

*Is proud* Susan Krinard ([livejournal.com profile] susankrinard) did the original painting -- which is hanging in our living room -- and Angie Gradillas (whose LJ name I have totally spaced on) did the icon. I have such talented friends!

Congratulations! Looking forward to seeing you both at Boskone.

Congratulations! Unfortunately I can't attend Boskone, but would you raise a cookie in my stead? Have a wonderful time at the con.

Felicitations to Val Con and Miri, and to Sharon and Steve (the proud parents). Decades ago, I lived in Boston and was a member of NESFA (we published "White Dragon" by Anne McCaffrey at that time). Sadly, I can't be there, but DO use me as an excuse to imbibe more than "proper diet" calls for.
Cheers, blessings, and sincere thanks for all you have written,
Joy

Oops = "A Time When" by Anne McCaffrey, NOT _White dragon_

Virtual cookies shall be raised and consumed, and heaven thanked once again for the creation of these people, these concepts, these places that made my world better and stronger. Without Miri and Val Con for backup, I would never have become Sarge. (Who, if you don't know, is actually a pretty cool person, and good to have in your corner when things get tough, 'cause she's been there and knows a thing or three, acazi?)

20 Years of pleasure! And counting...

Happy anniversary Val, Miri and all of Clan Korval. And many thanks to the makers of the feast, Sharon and Steve.

Twenty years ago I bought Agent and was hooked. I waited patiently for the following books (and we all know that for some of the books that was a very long wait) and bought them as soon as I could.

I have read and enjoyed them all, re-reading them when the craving hit again. Some addictions just plain fun!

Thanks for the pleasure you've given all of us.

It's hard to believe that I got your first novel 20 years ago! Your worlds had immediate reality, and your beings had immediate charm and existence.

Can't ask for more ... except to ask for more, please!

:)

Thank you for sharing the Liaden Universe with us for the last 20 years. I have read no books more in that time than these.

I remember checking bookshelves in every store I went too for a couple years before finally finding Conflict of Honors, and many more times for many years after that before finding you online, about the time Partners was put out. Oh what a happy day that was! I look forward to reading whatever you care to share for decades to come.
