Up in the air day
Wednesday, August 18th, 2004 08:43 pmBuzzy Multimedia, the kind, true, and wonderful folken who are producing the audiobook of Local Custom, have let us know that they've signed Michael Shanks, aka Dr. Daniel Jackson of Stargate: SG-1 fame, as narrator. Rumor has it that the book (as a multiple-CD set) will hit the shelves in January. YAY!
The day was scattered, despite which, Things were accomplished.
Writing was done -- some tweaks and twizzles on an existing scene to make it stronger, and to give the hero a chance to get rid of his cloak before he enters the parlor. Sigh.
Groceries were got and
kinzel made his appointment with the referral doctor, who was able to report that All was Copacetic, which is more than lovely.
Upon returning home, we found a care package from
hecateshound, which, among other delights, continues to expand the hedgehog theme that has been ongoing these last ...fifteen years? It could be fifteen years. I suspect
hecateshound of having this particular hedgehog-themed item done to order. Otherwise, well -- it's just wrong. Also included in the box, copies of the RT Bookclub review for Balance of Trade, of which we could ask no more.
Paperwork from the Maryland State Archive still hasn't arrived, so my passport application remains on hold (insert snarling here).
