Gang Aglee
Thursday, August 26th, 2004 06:26 pmManaged to get none of the work that I'd intended -- nay, swore -- that I'd get done today, actually... well... done.
Laundry and bill-paying happened, which don't count as work. Minor WorldCon prep -- says here in the NESFA restaurant guide that Cheesecake Factory in Prudential Center requires reservations. The pleasant young person I spoke to at same said it's "first come, first served." Sigh. More research in re places to actually sit down and eat, since the Sheraton no longer has a dinner restaurant, and while the bar is quite nice it does... pale after a few days. Vinny Ts sounds handy to the convention center, more-or-less affordable, and it's apparently a chain, which -- for this project -- gets me Extra Credit. Not as much as, say, would Johnny Rocket's, but sufficient unto the day is the Extra Credit thereof.
Finished the second part of a multipart interview about the upcoming Local Custom audiobook, which I guess counts as work, but not planned-and-swore-to-do-work.
Brushed Mozart with a combination of shedding rake and brush, which worked a fair treat, thank ghod.
Mooched around the new!updated! program list for N4 and duly notated the rooms our panels are scheduled for, as well as double checking that no events have been added or deleted from our preliminary schedules. That could count as work. In a pinch.
And now its approaching dinner and there are other things which must -- really must -- happen, so there's no rescuing the Undone from the earlier hours inside the later, and WorldCon is less -- much less -- than a week away.
I want a time machine, and I want it now.
Or then.
Whatever.
