A tip from the Nice Lady who makes the posters

If you want to have an attractive and/or eye-catching promotional poster for your talk, then use attractive, evocative words in your title. If you insist on titling your talk in Old Obfustication, don't expect to get anything but Typography on your poster.

Work with the designer, not against her.

Sheesh.

The other rule: If you want people to show up to your talk, an interesting and eye-catching title will do more for you than a promotional poster anyway.

The corollary: So save the obfuscation for the subtitle *grin*

I like the lashing tail. Is this indicative of curdled disposition?

LOL... I've been there, done that. Old Obfusticators usually prefer typographical treatments anyway... don't want those images getting the way of very important words!

Happy Birthday to you!
