I'm very glad that none of our Maine Coons are polydactyl. Rowdy is tall enough and has mastered the two-pawed door knob wrestle, but he hasn't quite managed to flip it far enough over to one side yet, although not for lack of trying.

I wake up at night fairly frequently when is attempting to let himself and the other evilies in. :)

I'm just glad we don't have any doors with handles, because even the little girls in this house are smart and big enough to be able to open those if they were around.

We went from magnets (not strong enough) to interlocking metal gizmos on all the kitchen and bathroom cabinets.

Nothing as heart-stopping as having a 4 month old Maine Coon kitten going underneath and inside the whirlpool tub cabinets! I about had a heart attack fearing she was going to be stuck in there and we would have to rip out the tub to rescue her.

Her sister recently got VERY annoyed at me when she visited the master bathroom (after 2 and a half years, mind) and found out that those lovely cabinet doors do no longer open.

Cats, who needs TV when they can have cats? :)

And in that vein, I'm happy to announce that it looks like there will be two litters of Maine Coonlets born in December in this house (after 3 years of kittenlessness). I must be insane. The amount of destruction kittens can perpetrate without even trying is unimaginable unless one has lived through it, he he. Wish us nice litters of 4 each, instead of 8 each as might well happen! :)
