rolanni: (i've often seen a cat without a smile)
[personal profile] rolanni
Had a hard time getting to sleep last night, despite assistance from the Coon Cat Emergency Dream Team. Drifted off around midnight, woke up at 3:30 for no good reason, woke up at 5:30 when Mozart left on break, leaving me to Hexapuma's care, woke up and called it a morning at 7:00 when Mo came back from break and Hex departed for his.

The Big Plastic Trashcan which is used as a staging point for empty bottles destined for Redemption (no, the other kind), blew off the deck in the night, scattering bottles merrily across the mud. I missed Steve's phone call from the outskirts of Hershey, PA while I was outside making All Tidy Again, sigh. But! He's on his way home, which is Very Good News Indeed.

I hear from the faculty member from whom all inputting flows that there will be a large stack of same on my desk awaiting my attention tomorrow morning. So much for counting sex scenes at work. Also, that Pleasant Woman is due in tomorrow for something or 'nother, and so I am Doubly Blessed.

I have several strategic windows open 'round the house -- it's 72(F) in here! And the thermostat is down as far as it goes. Outside, it's edging toward 60(F), but not raining at the moment. A glance at the weather map shows a minor band or two of weather in my future, but most of it seems to have gone out to sea.

On my plate today is Fledgling. I've read over yesterday's notes and they still seem good, which is ...reassuring.

See you on the flip side.
