In which Rolanni has more hair than wit

So, we didn't get snowed in on Thursday, which was sorta too bad. There were a bad couple minutes when Binjali seemed stuck half-way through the berm left at the end of the driveway by the Town Plow. Argent the Subaru had driven through it without even noticing it was there. The 1997 Altima? A leetle too close to the ground. Steve cleared the berm and off I went, hardly late for work at all.

We have negotiated new delivery dates with Toni, the Extremely Patient Editor Lady. The deadline for Saltation is now May 15, and for Mouse and Dragon July 15. Those deliveries mean the books would appear in mid and late 2010, respectively.

This weekend will be a Writing Weekend: Steve will be busy with the revisions to Saltation and I with the opening chapter(s) of Mouse. In preparation for this Epic Undertaking, Steve is, as I type, making spaghetti. Because nothing stimulates the Creative Impulse like like pasta and red sauce.

I'm thinking a little Airbender after a leisurely dinner, and early to bed. I dunno about you people, but I'm exhausted.

Everybody have Big Plans for this weekend? Oh, wait, it's a football thingy on Sunday, isn't it? So, who's not watching the game?

I have a filk band rehearsal tomorrow and Sunday. And will not be watching any football of any variety (ever, by preference)...

May you enjoy His Noodly Tentacles...

I am going to work tomorrow, and on Sunday I am going to worship my friends new twins. Identical girls.

Tomorrow I have a quiet day at home - it will include doing laundry, at least one load, maybe two, possibly three, definitely no more than that.

Sunday I work. I will be done about the time the Annual Worship Event starts - with luck, all the crazies will already be at their chosen worship locations, imbibing their preferred beverage, leaving me a quite & safe road.

::raises hand:: Not!

I'm not watching the game, not even for the commercials. Good time to work.

If there's hockey, I'll have that on. Otherwise, the football game will be playing in the background.

A writing weekend. Yes.

I'll be spending the day in the bookstore and then a movie if I can swing it.

I'm not! I'm not! ::jumps up and down::

What is really dangerous is that quilting, sewing, and embroidery shops traditionally have Super Bowl Sunday sales. Fortunately, my stash is full. Really. No room at the inn.

Game? What game?

Hunkering down to enjoy having electricity and heat, which suddenly seem so much more luxurious this week than they did last week. Nothing like trying to heat your house with a fireplace for a few days to make you appreciate central heat.

Close the bookstore because of the game? It is to laugh

I'll be working - if there aren't any book buyers,
I'll update book-keeping and my websites. I just
hope it won't be too bitterly cold. If it isn't
bitter, I generally get a bunch of regulars. Of both
the 2-legged and 4-legged kind. I'm waiting for the
day the puppy's humans decide to visit
simultaneously. Puppy bookstore hilarity will
definitely ensue.

Err, the puppies are plural. It should read puppies' humans....

I hate colds.
