I have an ear ache, which I haven't in Forever. I sort of remember them as a dull misery associated with a head cold. Whatever's going on here is like random jolts of electricity being fed right through my ear drum. Not fun. I see myself in a doctor's office, as early as possible tomorrow.

In happier news, my dragon arm warmers arrived. Oooh, shiny!

Oww... I used to get those all the time as a kid (both parents smoked in the house - ugh). I still have scarred eardrums and chronic sinus problems, but I guess my eustachian tubes are bigger now :o)

They felt more like an icepick through the head, than a dull misery.

A hot water bottle helps, but an antibiotic shot helps more :-P

Does it get worse with talking, eating, drinking (especially cold things)?

It may actually be referred pain from a dental problem. I had these symptoms when I had a back tooth that turned out to need a root canal...my doctor didn't figure it out, but my dentist did.

I'm sorta thinking that's what it is. I have a trick tooth that is still not right after two! root canals; it's a locus for infection and I can't get anybody to pull the dern thing. Nothing like having a time bomb in your mouth. But! Doctor's appointment early this afternoon, though of course the worst of it seems to be over. We Shall See.
