And! Tomorrow's Monday
Sunday, March 29th, 2009 06:54 pmNot only is it Monday, it's the first day after Spring break and the students will be back. In theory, Spring break is a week where I can take it a little easy at the day-job, and catch up on stuff that I had to let slide in order to accommodate various Alarums and Excursions. Happily for me, one of the small programs for which I provide support decided to save me from boredom by going bat-shit last week. I hope to ghod that it's not going to continue into this week. I've done everything I could to make sure that doesn't happen, but... Fingers crossed.
I did get a good amount of work done on Mouse and Dragon this weekend, though to those not intimately involved in the work, it'll seem like backsliding. I'm resetting the word-count meter to where the story now stands, through the end of the new chapter fourteen. There's one more chapter written, but it will need to be substantially expanded to the point that it will be a Whole New Chapter by the time I'm done, so this is as good a place as any to start counting words again.
During breathers this weekend, I've been reading a web-comic called Red String. It's like eating potato chips; I can't stop, and the bag's not empty yet. I wish somebody would explain to me why everybody loves Miharu, though. I mean, she's a mouthy, attitudinal kid with not-very-good-grades. At least Tohru Honda has a discerning heart. I'm not sure that's the case with Miharu.
Progress on Mouse and Dragon
Hope everybody had a good weekend!
