Circle the first: We have a new book out! I have held it in my hands! I have signed 150+ of them! They are real!

Circle the second:  I am on the edge of acquiring a brand! new! (to me) automobile -- a mint green 2000 Subaru Legacy -- which means that I have to call insurance companies and get things faxed and go to the town office and get traveler plates (*wonders if this makes me a Traveler*) and sign paperwork and, eek!

Circle the third:  Is it too much to ask that one administrative department talk to another administrative department?

Oh...wait.

Circle the fourth:  Good wishes solicited for the HexaCat who is on his first drug-free day in a couple of weeks.  We're hoping that his bladder infection is well and truly dead now.  He's soooo much loonier when he doesn't have to be drugged...

Loud cheers for the book! I'm looking forward to mine.

And equally loud cheers for the vehicle. Except for the hassle, I enjoy having a new old car.

And definite good wishes for Hexapuma's well-being.

Yay! on new book

Did something happen to your old car? I don't remember seeing anything go by about it being in danger of imminent demise.

Re: the question about administrative departments. Is the adjective administrative really necessary?

Good wishes returnef for HexaCat!

Will you be going to the worldcon? If so, would you mind bringing a copy for yours truly to acquire on the spot? (Sue isn't going, but I am.)

We had a Crisis of Faith. It's not it; it's me.

Re: the question about administrative departments. Is the adjective administrative really necessary?

I suppose not, though the current work culture tends to blame Admin at all points.

We will be going to WorldCon. Even, we are working at WorldCon.

If so, would you mind bringing a copy for yours truly to acquire on the spot?

I will enquire of Mr. Miller.

Ooh, let's see.

Direct from the SRM Publishing Empire (https://www.srmpublisher.com/Default.asp?), or, eventually Uncle Hugo's, Borderlands, and Missing Volume should have them available.

Ah, the SRM Publishing Empire... This reminds me of the stores in Tokyo that advertise their branches in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, and similar exotic places. In one case, we recognized the address in Boston -- it was a friend's home. When we asked about it, it turned out that they had a deal. The friend acted as their "branch" location, and would indeed take orders if anyone ever asked for anything. Since she didn't advertise or anything, it was unlikely. Still, it allowed the Tokyo main store to advertise their global presence :-)

Would you like a branch of the SRM Publishing Empire in Nara, Japan? It would look good on your annual report to the stockholders, right?

Wow -- bet your hand hurts from signing so many books!

The Double Vision cover looks awesome, and I'm excited it's officially published! Yay!

Well, as long as there are not international tax consequences. Perhaps I should discuss this with the Maine International Trade Center.

I'd be honoured to be a branch of the SRM Publishing Empire, right here in Newport, NSW, Australia. I'd even send you on the money!

Oh, and much joy with both the new book and the oldnew car - may the wheels continue to go round and round until you are ready for them to fall off. Or something.

I don't know about taxes... but if there is a state international trade center, they might very well be happy to talk about such opportunities. I'm consistently surprised at how much support is available for such attempts, and how little publicized it is.
