...began with a bad dream. Steve and I were somehow attached to a band of Traveler-like folken, and it had been decided that we'd been in one area too long, and it was time to move on. My first intimation of this was when I arrived home from work to find everything out of the kitchen closets and my medicine already packed away. I then spent a fair amount of time trying to find out from various elders and persons-in-charge (1) where we were going (2) when we would get there (3) how much we could take, and (4) when I could have my drugs back. I kept being assured that I wouldn't be left behind ("We always take the children and the horses," I believe was the phrase), and we would arrive at the new place in the fullness of time. In the meanwhile, no, I absolutely could not unpack anything until we arrived; the argument that if I went three days without my meds Bad Things would happen falling on unconcerned ears.
The alarm went off about then, which was probably a mitzvah.
So! this evening's task: prep the papers associated with the story now known as "Candlelight" for Ebay.
