Breaking for supper

Took care of the most pressing writing related emails this morning, then worked on the speech for the rest. I do still have to time it, but I fear I'm short. Also, I'm not certain that I'm entirely on-topic, but! Since I'm short, there's still the possibility of adding a fourth section that actually addresses the topic. It's not a screw-up; it's an opportunity!

The laundry is almost done.

This afternoon, work on Ghost Ship. I may or may not get back to the keyboard after supper.

Tomorrow is Monday, but I refuse to dignify it.

It was a rainy day at home so I was re-reading Conflict of Honors, and I Dare.

I know that you are involved in Ghost Ship but I was hoping that maybe there would be more about Shan and Priscilla. After all Mr. dea'Gauss did negotiate for 3 heirs from Priscilla with Plemia.

Shouldn't there be more babies since there are new life-matings going on.

I believe the poster meant to say something along the lines of "Since Mr. dea Gauss negotiated for the payment from Clan Plemia of the terrible potential loss of three offspring to Priscilla Mendoza, thodelm of line Mendoza (offworld)."

But Priscilla is not just thodelm of line Mendoza (offworld) but also the lifemate of the thodelm of line yosGalan, clan Korval. Does Priscilla Mendoza, lifemated into clan Korval, have any duties to clan Korval regarding offspring? Hmmmm...

Priscilla fails the "born of the clan, blood of the clan" test. In the way of seniority she'd only be at need if she became Delm Korval.

Not duty to Korval, but theoretically she would have duty to Line Mendoza (offworld) to provide an heir, assuming that she chooses to follow the Liaden model of society. Since she is not Liaden, and since Korval (and theoretically Mendoza (offworld)) is no longer based on Liad, there isn't really a social obligation to have an heir.

Of course, I'd be somewhat surprised if Shan and Priscilla didn't want to have children.
