My weekend started tonight at the last evening of DocUtah a gigantic week long showing of new documentaries, and holding of seminars in St. George UT and also in our little town of Kanab. We had a reception here with many dignitaries of the documentary film world. Guest of honor: Helen Whitney, creator of many documentaries shown on PBS including her latest "Forgiveness".
Tomorrow... I will help walk Chelsea, a Redbone hound mix, who was on a chain on a local redneck's property for the all 5 years of her life. On the chain because she didn't prove to be a good huntin' dog. Now off the chain and being fostered by a friend who needs a lot of help with Chelsea who is a very strong dog, not leash trained, gnashing her teeth at the cats and so on. Chelsea doesn't like other dogs or cats. She's not leash trained and barks a lot. Anyone who doesn't have other animals, is very dog savvy and looking for a hound or just looking for a special needs dog please let me know. She's partial to women and young men. Very pretty. Needs a fenced yard. No city apartments please.
