rolanni: (Yay!)
[personal profile] rolanni

. . .first one published was Agent of Change, a mass market original from Random House/Del Rey, in February 1988, then Conflict of Honors, in June 1988; Carpe Diem in October 1989; and Plan B in trade paper in…

February 1999.

Yeah, little bit of break, there.

Starting with the February 1999 release, though, we got more regular in our habits, with the result that we just recently handed in our eighteenth collaborative novel.

A lot of you have heard this story before.  The reason I’m doing a refresher right now is. . .

. . .with the assistance of Madame the Agent, and the willingness of Toni Weiskopff at Baen. . .

. . .we just today sold three more Liaden Universe® novels.

Dragon Ship, the sequel to next August’s Ghost Ship, is due in September 2011.  Trade Secret, the sequel to Balance of Trade, is due in May 2012.  In-between those two — due in January 2012 — is an as-yet-untitled Surebleak-centric story featuring some interesting new characters.

Keep in mind that the above are the authors’ delivery dates and not publication dates.  We don’t know what the publication dates may or will be.  That comes later.

First, we need to write like heck.

Happiness abounds. That is wonderful news for your fans, and for the cats -- since you will be able to buy cat food and toys.

Woohoo! Very shiny news! We'll make sure to put in an order at the local bookstore whenever they finally make it out.

Much happy dancing. As much as I want them in my hands RIGHT NOW, I realize that time is linear and you need to write them, but this is a major step and cause for celebration.

May the you ingest seed pods specially crafted for the work you are to continue. May you have fair warning of their potency.

Fantastic Monday news. All we are missing is a tale about the Turtles. Quite sure Rolanni & Kinzel will get around to that part of the Liaden Universe eventually.

Does this mean Rolanni's day job is to be phased out?

Ghod bless you, one and all!

Hallelujah!

Thank you, dear Toni, especially...we're sure these two authors have characters introducing themselves frequently (asking after possible work), and situations sneaking up and asking, please, won't you write about me? And characters-already-written-about jumping in to 'suggest' (each in their own inimitable fashion) another story thread for which they'd be PERFECT....now if only someone shared their sizable lottery ticket winnings to give these authors about 4 years "cushion" to read and stare out windows, consult cats, and write as often as they're able, we might begin to cut the time needed for new stories to appear onscreen.

Yay!

Yay and Yay. 3 new books. Wondering if the untitled one on Surebleak is the one you want to write anyway. Hope so. Now you'll be paid for it. Glad to hear the story of Jethri and his family will continue. Hoping for more from The Uncle. Also I hope for more of an explanation on how Jethri's family live for 300 years. Didn't quite understand that last time. I noticed that when Theo was working for the Uncle her ship's name was "Arin's Toss.". This is how I keep my brain from turning to mush in my old age. I hate cross word puzzles.
Congratulations and good luck from me, Gus and the rest of the Furry Gang.

That is great news. Excellent. Congratulations. Dragon Ship is a really intriguing title. I'll be eagerly anticipating impatiently as usual.
