Spoiler Free Zone!

Please, no spoilers or discussion of the plot of Ghost Ship in this venue — the book doesn’t come out until August, remember, and many people following this blog are Strong and Upstanding and wait until hardcopy publication to get their fix story.

If you Simply! Must! talk plot/character/story arc/continuity, please use the spoiler group, over here

Thank you for respecting your fellow readers.

Thanks for the reminder to all. I really appreciate it.

Thank you for the reminder, coupled with the link. I had a couple of things to say that I wanted to couch subtly, and instead I can go rampage over in the spoiler zone.

Thank you, very much, for the book; I of course am anxious for more, being greedy.

Just read the first 11 chapters of Ghost Ship. I think this is your best work yet. Have hardcopy coming in August, but couldn't wait. Thank you, thank you, and now I will have to wait for George! Kathy from CA

No, no -- you only have to wait for Dragon Ship. Steve's on deck with that; due to Toni in...November, I think. Which means lateish 2012/early 2013 publication, at a guess.

George is the book due after DS, by which time I really hope it's forked over with a title.

Lateish 2012? ::whimpers::

(In no way suggesting that you owe me anything, or that you have the capacity or indeed desire to work faster. Strictly self-pity here.)

So glad! Two books plus Baen short story. Hurrah. How did I miss Dragon Ship in my upcoming reading plans? I guess George is just such a great title it took precedence in my mind. Charging up the Kindle now to read the rest of Ghost Ship this afternoon. Kathy in CA

Will only say that I've finished reading for the second time and it's like going to brunch and hitting the dessert table first.
Do agree with the above comment and think this is THE BEST book yet.

Once begun, there was (of course) no stopping. A re-read is necessary, I think.

Thank you both so much. You brighten our world.

Yea! Have finished my first reading and found it very satisfying... I agree that this one ranks right up near the top, but have to say that Agent of Change is still my favorite since it was my introduction to the Liaden Universe®

Do I understand correctly that Dragon Ship (that you mention that Steve is working on) is the sequel to Ghost ship?

Am also looking forward to George as well!

Thanks for the story!
Stan

Actually, the one we're most likely to be reading next is Intelligent Design, a free story coming to the Baen website in June/July 2011.

Then Dragon Ship goes to Baen 9/2011, which means mid 2012, maybe, for us (eArc!)

George is next to Baen about 2/2012 -- so we'll see it late 2012 or so.

And Trade Secret (sequel to Balance of Trade) goes to Baen about 8/2012, so we see it mid 2013?

I think that's roughly the schedule right now. Subject to whims of writers, publishers, and real life, of course.

I really liked GhostShip

The E-arc was terrific. I have now spent $65 on this book (1 e-arc, 2 signed books) and I consider it money well spent. Thank you for your efforts.

Purchased and uploaded it to my Nook, then started reading. Was interrupted briefly by tornado sirens, headed for prepared basement corner, and started reading again. When I lifted up from the nook, the storm was well past ..

Bought the artwork a couple months ago. (David Mattingly is fabulous!) Ordered 2 signed copies for me and one for my dad, the other day.Just doing my part to make sure you can afford to live off your writing income. :)
Read the first 11 chapters. Bought and downloaded the e-ARC. (Yeah, there were typos. Who cares?) Read the entire rest of the book last night. Absolutely loved how you tied in characters from so many stories and very much liked the Epilogue. :) Awesome!
