I don't think there will be a recovery by 2015. There's already talks that B&N will be letting go of stores as leases come up, and focusing on their digital programme. Now, imagine if you will, what happens when we lose B&N five years from now, when it comes to print sales? No one seems to be realistically looking at this down the road. (Hell, the liquidation of Borders will hit B&N hard in these last two quarters, which few people are talking about.) I also believe that Kris is ignoring the mass market appeal of an ebook device, which when it hits, say, less than a hundred dollars, will hasten things further. Have we already met the tipping point?
