Where the books are

Most of the books, all of the movies, and all of the music that were in the living room have now been shifted to my office.  There are a couple smallish piles of books in the bedroom.

Anyhow, here’s what it looks like, when it’s all (mostly) in one big pile:

The Books, the Bear, and the Unicorn

I’ve got errands in town today.  See y’all later.

I see you have Book Guardians too

I have a small stuffed frog with big eyes that has Guarded the Books
starting with my High School locker. He now shares The Duty in the
study with two stuffed dragons - one red (Cinnamon) and one green
(Sage). Actually I think there's a picture of them on my facebook
photos that Laurie found amongst the old college blackmail materiel.

My sympathies on the upheaval - the last time I did that, it was to
replace the carpet with laminate flooring. I telecommuted from a
corner of the master bedroom with my laptop on my lap. I was sooo
tired from moving furniture and boxes that week. Oy.

The unicorn (code name Unicron) was given me by a coworker before I met Steve, so...35 years he's been overseeing books. Looks tired, doesn't he? The bear with the deely-boppers is actually an office bear, but the books are in his floor space.

We're having a guy come in this morning to give an estimate for replacing that horrible, ancient shag in the living room and the Solarium (!) in the kitchen, figuring that, heck, the place is torn up, anyway...

Poor Bear

Poor bear. What crime could it have committed that would earn the lobster claw headpiece?

Well, yanno. We had the bear, the headpiece fit. And as my mom always used to say, "If the deely-boppers fit, wear 'em."

I'm shocked, truly shocked; a few little piles like that!
The bear and the unicon are cuuute ....

Those are only the books from the living room, now...

[identity profile] kinzel.livejournal.com 2011-10-27 02:57 pm (UTC)(link)
..and not all of the books from the living room, as we have given some to the library, and moved some elsewhere (like the piles in the bedroom under the old perching stool) ....

Hmnm ...*squints at piles in pic and in own living room*
Not that bad, then, I guess!
