The day started off bad and got worse.

The bank across the parking lot from the Unity post office was robbed at gunpoint yesterday afternoon. Who robs banks in Unity, Maine, for ghod's sake?

Then we had this happy bit of creative legislation, way to go, Virginia! Miscarriage Criminal Offense

And of course, the roll-over-and-play-dead thing with the protest of the Ohio vote, and the travesty that was Mr. Gonzales' "hearing."

Plus, Other Things.

The single piece of good news being that the bone scan showed no further thinning, and, though I haven't managed to actually build bone with all this gyming around, there's no need at the moment to start with drugs. Next test, two years. More gym, me. Sigh.

I never thought I'd wish to have been born with the bones of an ox, but I do. Bet you do, too. Glad to hear your work is paying off.

Someone who knows where Unity is. You two are obvious suspects.

As am I, I guess. I thought of you when that came on the news.

If you want to send a creative package to the Virginia legislature, I'll go halfsies on the postage.

Good on the bone scan...does it help to take calcium--or eat cheese and other calcium rich things?

Does this count as good news?

On Friday Jan 27th, Amazon shipped me Balance of Trade so they found the invisible books.

At least I'm managing to run a good race, Red Queen style. Apparently my bones decided to grow long instead of thick, and (cruel irony!) it apparently hasn't helped matters that I've been more-or-less skinny my entire life. A little more weight to carry, says the doctor, would have forced the bones to mass up.

Note to self: Next time, bones like ox.

Apparently taking calcium has helped (Viactiv caramel isn't too horrible), and I hate to tell you how much cheese and ice cream I eat. Not to mention calcium-infused juice. Still got to do better in the weight-bearing exercise part of the program. Tough for somebody who's never been what you'd call physical.

Change is Good, yes?

Well, it counts as good news that they found the pile of invisible books, but -- talk about shipping futures! *g*

Let me know what you think of the book when you get a chance...

Well, good change is good...

My grandmother has solid bones, and she insists it's from all those years of good dairy products back east in Minnesota. So I refuse to feel guilty for eating lots of cheese!
