Atlanta is in full bloom, maybe a month ahead of schedule, and that means pollen season. I can sweep the pine pollen into piles, all surfaces are coated with the mix of oak and pine, and everyone with any level of allergies is miserable. The pollen count Tuesday was an all time high of 9369 where 1500 is "extremely high". Today it's back down to *only* 4300 or so.
On the other hand, my yard is really pretty, with the azaleas and dogwoods blooming, the forsythia and redbuds almost done, and the daffodils and grape hyacinth are really going to town. The (indoor) cats feel they should have a shot at the nice green grass...which is coated with pollen, of course. Not that they would care.
