Well, I am a bit old to run onto a theater stage to save Julliette, so it's too much to say that I am alarmed _by_ Eylot's politics (all honor to your depiction of it). What I am more alarmed of, is that when speaking of Eylot, you might have in mind something much closer to home...
You wrote about failing societies before, but the attitude was never quite so dire. The one in Fledgling you made to look almost comical. This time, it seems to me, you are coming with a message to the real world. I am just not sure, which part of the real world made you think about Eylot. :-)
