Wednesday morning photos

Today's mail brought our authors' copies of Dragonwriter, so I decided to take a group shot of our books that arrived in either our hands  or yours during July.  Here it is:

Family grouping: Dragonwriter, Dragon Ship, A Liaden Universe® Constellation Volume One, with base of the Skylark Award for contrast.

And, because books are nice, but kitties make everything -- even books -- nicer, I also offer portraits of the coon boys:

Yay for books!

That's a lovely photo of Mozart. Trooper is cute, but Mozart has that... something...

Mozart has become quite the Elder Statescat...

the boys

Ach! They''re beautiful.

Where's Scrabble?

Mozart and Trooper are really handsome fellows for sure. Those portraits are fabulous. But imo Scrabble is very pretty. Although much smaller than the boys I understand. The boys are obviously camera hogs, the stars of the show.

Scrabble is more private than the Silly Fluffs. I did later in the day get a birthday picture of her with Steve, which he may or may not share.

The boys are very handsome, yes, but Scrabble is prettier

They're very handsome kitties, but I admit to a growing fondness for Trooper. Such a handsome fellow.

Trooper is very handsome, and extremely people-oriented, which means that he'll occasionally fling himself into my arms, and demand cuddles right now, which is both disconcerting and endearing.

At present, he does have rather more hair than wit, but I expect that will change with age and the weighty responsibilities attached to being Third Cat in a Writers' House.

TROOPER

Since my husband and daughter are allergic, I share your cats vicariously, thankyouverymuch! How old is Trooper, and what weight are you being flung with? And while I'm on-line here, thank you so very much for the Info Dump.

Trooper will be four years old in December. At present, he weighs 14.5 pounds. The vet thinks he'll "fill in" a little more -- her guess is that he'll top out at 16 pounds. Maine Coons mature slowly; he'll reach his full growth sometime in the coming year.

Despite being so very large, he can fold himself up into the Wee Kitten on your lap, and gazes up at you with Topo Gigio eyes. You can almost hear him say, "Eddie? Kiss me goodnight."*
