In regards to fanfic- do the authors consider filk to be on the spectrum of undesirable things? The liaden universe didn't tickle that particular bug for me, but Archer's Beach seems to trigger flickers of lyrics. I haven't let them become songs given previously expressed preferences, but Sun was even worse.
